WordHeat Privacy Policy

We collect only the minimum information needed to operate the game, improve performance, and provide features such as cloud saves and ads.

A. Account Information (Optional)

Account creation is optional. WordHeat can be used fully without creating an account or providing personal information.

If you choose to sign in using Apple, Google, or email:

• Display name or nickname
• Email address (if provided by the sign-in provider)
• Authentication identifier

Guest players do not provide personal information.

B. Gameplay Information

• Game progress, statistics, scores
• Hints used, credits, streaks
• Session data and performance metrics
• Account recovery information (for guest accounts)

C. Device & App Information

• Device model & OS version
• App version, language, region
• Crash logs & diagnostic data
• Non-precise IP address

D. Advertising Identifiers

We use the Apple AppTrackingTransparency (ATT) framework to request your permission before accessing advertising identifiers for tracking purposes. Ad partners may collect:

• IDFA (iOS) / GAID (Android) - only with your permission
• General device data
• Ad interaction metrics

You can control ad tracking permissions in your device settings at any time.

E. Cookies & Tracking

We use local storage and analytics for gameplay saving, session management, and debugging. We do not use cross-site tracking.

A. Service Providers

Your Ad Choices:

You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time. If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will be contextual (non-personalized) rather than based on your interests.

• iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track"
• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

Children's Privacy

WordHeat is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:

• Account Data: Retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to facilitate account recovery and prevent fraud.
• Gameplay Data: Retained to provide game features, cross-device synchronization, and leaderboards.
• Deleted Accounts: Following account deletion, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
• Inactive Accounts: We may delete accounts that have been inactive for an extended period (typically 3+ years) after providing reasonable notice where contact information is available.
• Legal & Compliance: Certain information may be retained longer where required for legal compliance, tax obligations, dispute resolution, or enforcement of our agreements.

Important: Uninstalling the App does not delete your data from our servers. To delete your data, you must submit a deletion request as described in Section 6.

Your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction.

By using WordHeat, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries outside your country of residence, which may have different data protection rules. We take reasonable steps to ensure that your information receives an adequate level of protection in accordance with applicable law.

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We may also notify you through the App or by other reasonable means.

Your continued use of WordHeat after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

Notice to California Residents: WordHeat does not sell personal information as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We do not and will not sell your personal data to third parties.
